45% off for their 45th anniversary? Good deal but I'll wait until they celebrate their 100th anniversary.

I somehow doubt I have that much time left on this world so I'm going to drive up and take advantage of this deal. The little guy will love it.

Thanks OP

It's an anniversary promotion I'm sure it was available before it was posted on here.

Anyways it's also way too last minute for me so looks like I still won't be able to pop my Toronto Zoo cherry.

Not sure about this deal.
For those who needs to work on Thursdays, and if your vacation days/sick days can be paid out at the year end, or they can be carried over to the next year...save 15 bucks for 1 or even 4 people still aren't appealing to me. (Unless you make less than 100 a day?)

A lot of people don't have to work esp on RFD Grinning Face

Hands up if you're old enough to remember when the Zoo had McDonalds (including McPizza!). They also used to have ski racks and groomed trails to cross country ski between pavilions.

Of course one of the best parts was the old monorail. Footage below

Thanked OP. I hope the weather holds up on Thursday.
How are the food prices at the zoo compared to say the rip-off Wonderland.

Ain't cheap of course, but not quite at wonderland prices. There's lots of picnic tables so it's really easy to bring your own food. Last time i went with the GF we just packed sandwiches into our backpack and didn't bother buying food. Their ice cream/slushie/mini vendors CC machines seem to be perpetually down, so if you're going with kids who you know will "need" ice cream, bring a little cash.

You are allowed to bring your own food into the zoo. Prices are higher still but at least they give you a choice.

By that logic, everyone on RFD won't be able to enjoy this deal because they all make $100k/year.

Holographic technology should be pretty good by then and maybe the new maglev train will be open! The splash pad there is pretty nice too. The great grandkids will love it.
