Wow. This has been up for 50 minutes and no one has droned on about HD-DVD being a dead format that you'd have to be insane to buy an HD-DVD player. I'm pleasantly surprised. Or maybe most don't know it is one since it isn't in the thread title.

Too bad it's so far away. I had a friend who was looking for a good upscaling dvd player and I had mentioned that these were better at it than Oppo. He ended up buying a PS3 for everything else that it can do too, but still....weird that this thread would show up now.

Good deal. Alot of people have HD dvds and also picked up the walmart clearance of 2 for $10 and perhaps need back-up players since they wont be sold anymore.

Too bad they are not closer or ill go grab one as well.

Wish I could get one but Windsor is too far. Not only for the HDDVD's but buy it for the upconverting capabilities also.
