Which Towel Bar is better? Pull out or Standard?

The pull out bar is a new style no...? Seen in hotels and such? More of a masculine tone than the feminine regular horizontal towel bar that we'd had for as long as time can remember?

Do you know what I'm talking about?

Towel Bar which goes up and down and has 2-4 bars that swing out. vs.
Towel Bar that goes across that holds towel and hand towel that everyone has.

I think it depends on how much room you have available, your style preferences, price point etc. I will say though that I believe you may need to renforce the backing in the wall since the dual bars that swing out will have most of the support on that one bar as apposed to the two mounting points of the single bar. Am I thinking of the right towel bar and are you getting the mental image?

Are there any shops other than HD RONA CanTire have collections of Towel bar? I havent found any fit us yet in those stores. Thanks.

There is a homesense close to our house which we could not find the ones we like. Will check out the tubs and taps. Thanks!

Hmm. Thanks for the comment. So someone will have to use a stud for a pull out towel bar?
