Towing horror stories

I have heard many horror stories about towing in GTA. I have a friend who spin out in 407 and the tow truck said he knows a place to fix honda, impounded the car and after quoting $10k to fix. She wanted to get it fix elsewhere, they charge her $1000 for towing if she don't fix it there.

I know once a car is impounded, you have no way of getting it out and they can charge any amount they want. But for towing, each city has some kind of limit. I think one actually have the right to demand where to take the car to and each city has limit on how much towing can charge.

Any comments?
