Toyota Extra Care Protection: Would this be covered?

So on our 2014 Corolla, one of the speaker wire/harness seems like its failing, and we can't hear audio out of one of the speakers.

First of all, this shit shouldn't be happening on a 3 year old car.

Secondly, the dealer claims this is a $700 fix that out of the kindness of their heart can do for $150, and that there is a week shipping time to get the part.

So I looked at the Warranty package we bought, its the ECP Platinum Plan. Here is what the Platinum plan does NOT cover (source):
Parts not covered are: all glass (mirrors, heated windshields and rear windows with defroster), fog lamps, lenses, sealed beams, lamps, light bulbs, tires (with the exception of ECP Road Hazard Coverage), wheels or wheel studs, trim, seat frames, convertible top, mouldings, weather-strips, bright metal, sheet metal, body parts (including frame), bumpers, upholstery, carpet, paint, brake rotors and drums, brake linings and pads, batteries and cables, manual clutch disc lining, pressure plate and bushings, throw-out bearings, catalytic converter (which may be covered by Emissions Control Systems Warranties), exhaust system, non-manufacturer installed accessories
Does that underlined part make any sense? The Platinum package is better than the Gold package, but they won't cover a simple wiring harness? Or does that underlined phrase imply something else perhaps?

Thoughts?

"Batteries and cables" implies the heavier positive and ground cables attached to the battery.

Could also include any braided ground straps attached to the engine, transmission, etc.

Can't see that any part of the sound system is excluded (surprisingly) so the $150 fix should be covered.

But sounds like they may be doing it under a goodwill provision without invoking the extended warranty if you are just past the 3yr./60K new car warranty?
