According to AOTS, Grindhouse may be split into to seperate movies, since Harvey Weinstein thinks that the 192 min running time is too big of a deterrent for people wanting to see this.

I think Weinstein is making a bad decision to split it into 2 movies. If one presentation with 2 movies didn't make money in the box office, I doubt 2 separate movies are going to do much for it.
Why separate the movies when people that only choose to watch Planet Terror can just leave after its done. Or for those that only want to watch Death Proof
can just go in after around 90 minutes.
They are going for the grindhouse feel, which are often several movies combined in one presentation, and I seriously doubt Death Proof on its own will garner much more audience.
I think its more about people not understanding the goal of a grindhouse movie. Grindhouse movies are meant to look cheesy and over the top, very bad picture quality and different types of exploitation. People that don't understand that will think the gun leg is childish and silly.
I personally thought the movie was hilarious, Naveen's weird balls fetish and all the fake trailers. Absolutely loved Hobo with a Shotgun

So much fun..
I'm tempted to say Planet Terror was better because Deathproof took some time to get going but it wasn't bad either...Kurt Russell is the man.
For people that say they're going to wait for the DVD(s...yes, they're splitting them), you might as well not watch it. You lose the experience and the whole point of it all..._______________
i think this line's mostly filler

Saw this yeaterday.
Definitely liked the zombie film better, although Kurt Russel was great, as usual, in the second one.
I vote for Machete as the trailer I wouldn't have minded seeing as a film.
Anyone notice that "Hobo with a Gun" had "Winner of the Dartmouth film festival" written underneath

I think watching this on DVD would be a waste since the movie is all grainy and there's cigarette burns and missing reels. Totally takes away from the experience.
What they should do is fill in the missing reels if they are splitting the movie into 2...... but still, what are they going to do with the trailers then? That's what made the film worth more than the $10 I paid to see it._______________
