If you consider pickering the 'gta' area, there's an excellent shop I've dealt with before out there.

As far as downtown goes the only place I have used shut down so I tend to just haul the car out to my uncles'.

Ace Transmission. I've never used them b4 but a very reliable source told me that its one of the best tranny shops in the GTA. If you do a search you will see that I posted this before with a contact name that I can't remember.
