[American Express] Transfer Amex points to Aeroplan and get 25% extra points - ONLY UNTIL SUN DEC 20

More offers from American Express
Transfer as little as 1000 points from Amex Membership Rewards to Aeroplan and get an extra 25% in Aeroplan points. So if you transfer 1000 Amex MR points you'll get 1250 Aeroplan points. Transfers are instant. Transfers need to be in 100 point increments (again over 1000 points).

Deal is good from Dec 14 to Dec 20.

Credit goes to RFDer RICEDION who noted it in the following thread, but I thought it deserved its own thread

Amex's info is here

Thanks OP, but I got a "Rejected by participant" under the "My Redemptions" status ....

Edit: called amex, they said it's some kind of technical issue, but the transfer is complete. Sure enough, aeroplan.com says I got the points already

Awesome post OP.

One time my laziness helps me. Since I got my Gold Business Amex (from RFD.ca thread) I have been using it more then my Visa, but never got around to switch over the 25,000 signup or rest of the points.

This thread finally allowed me to get off my butt and do it. Just transfered 60,000 to get 75,000 and put my over the 100,000 mark.

I left 1,022 points so I can do it again end of the week in case some more purchases are put on my account.

Can you transfer points into someone else's Aeroplan account? If I split my MR points between me and my GF, then we would each have enough for a flight. If I put them all into my account, then I wouldn't have enough for two tickets.

You could get a ticket for your GF using your Aeroplan points. It's not restricted to yourself.

I know. But I have 11k AP points, she has 6k. I can turn my 26+k MR points into 33k AP points. If I take them all, I'd have 44k, which isn't enough to buy both of us a ticket. If I split them properly, then we'd each have a bit over 25k.

I wonder if I could do it if I get her a supplementary AMEX, would she get her own login info?
