Transfer sympatico offer from dell?

A friend just bought a laptop from Dell, but he doesn't need the 3 months of free Sympatico service. Anyone know if the 3 months free can be transferred to another person? Thanks.

How do you even use this thing? I bought a laptop from Best Buy in december, and i have no idea how to use it. I wonder if its expired, because i have another school yr coming up and free internet is awesome hehe.
