Trouble with MSN?

I'm having trouble connecting to Windows Live Messenger, and I have version 8.0812. It works on my Mac but I'd rather have it work for my desktop.

Any ideas? The error code is 81000314, saying the service is unavailable right now, but then as I said earlier, it works on my Mac. Reinstalled several times now, not working.

Any ideas?

I have the exact problem as you, and on an ongoing basis too. While it works on Windows Mobile, I always have to go through troubleshooting or just try logging in a few times before it will actually log in. I'm using the free version of Zone Alarm and never had any problems before.

zonealarm is causing problems for lots. More specifically, the new version. The solution is to install the 6.1 version.

in MSN M, Tools >Options> Connection>Start .........fix from there
