FWIW, the regular retail of 159.99 is a rip off, but it usually goes for around $120.

Have had one for over 4 years, currently monitoring the second child. The sensor pad gives you a little extra peace of mind, if you're not going for a full video feed monitor. If your crib has no hardboard under the mattress, you'll likely need to add in a piece of 1/8 plywood or something for the sensor pad to operate properly. Unless you like to panic at 3AM when the alarm goes off on a false positive.

Wireless range is good enough to take the dog across the street (so I've heard).

For anyone that's considering getting a monitor, I highly recommend this one.

Does the mechanism not upset the feel of the mattresses for the baby? Seems like a good price though
