First of all I have to ask what do you mean by a "truck driving license"? In Ontario, you can drive a 5 ton with no airbrake with a G, a straight/dump truck with a DZ, and a tractor trailer combination with an AZ.
US license is a yes, don't know about Irish or British, Go check with MTO in person is your best bet due to the complication (Ministry of Transportation Ontario)_______________
"Some day, I am going to kill a dumbass 4 wheeler with my 18 wheeler and I am not going to be at fault for it..." Unfortunately I have only been saying that for the last 30 years...

Holders of a driver's licence from Great Britain can exchange their driver's licence for a class G Ontario driver's licence (which entitles you to drive any car, van or small truck or combination of vehicle and towed vehicle up to 11,000 kg provided the towed vehicle is not over 4,600 kg) without do any road or knowledge tests, a vision test is required. Any other class over and above the class G will need testing.
