“As you know, the Aga Khan is a longtime friend,” he added in French.

Was he in Quebec when he said that (in French)? Was he asked the question in French?

The guy speaks out of all sides of his mouth so of course there is no consistency. He'll tell you what you want to hear. He'll tell you he's a feminist one day and congratulate Trump the next. He'll talk about phasing out the oilsands one week and cheer on the KXL pipeline the next.

He's a populist of the worst kind and yet people do nothing about it and the "progressives" defend him because they have no backbone.

Ambrose took holiday on billionaire's yacht
While party criticized Trudeau for island getaway, CPC Party leader ‘couldn’t resist the billionaire lifestyle’ either

F-ing typical. And for those saying but she got permission, her office sent that letter in after she had already been there for 5 days. Lol. Can't make this shit up. She even sent a tweet criticizing Trudeau for the aga khan visit while she was there.

Yeah, but what she did didn't violate any ethics rules. So technically, if you're doing something that doesn't violate ethics rules, whether you receive permission or not, is irrelevant. She is merely checking in to confirm her belief that what she was doing did not violate the rules.

Justin outright broke a stated ethics rule that is set in stone and clear cut black and white. There is no grey area. Are you going to try telling us, what Justin did was okay? Would be typical of selfie lovers.

Yeah sure.

Did she violate the ethics rules - yes or no?

Exactly!

Did Justin Trudeau violate ethics rules? Yes.

And even if she did violate any ethics rules. That doesn't change the PM's action nor does it make it okay. Your guys' response to this Ambrose news is typical of Liberal supporters looking to blame others, as if that makes it okay for your selfie loving Liberals to do the same.

It doesn't make what Trudeau did ok, it just reeks of hypocrisy. Take your partisan hat off...

That's twisted logic. Did she break the ethics rules? Did Justin? If she didn't and Justin did then there is no hypocrisy in criticizing his behavior.

That said, I think she shouldn't be vacationing on the yachts of billionaires because of the perceived conflict of interest. I'd be fine with the government adjusting the rules to make what she did against the rules.

"Partisan hat" - another typical Liberal response. Did she or did she not violate any ethics rules?

There is no hypocrisy happening. Hypocrisy would be if someone else did the exact same thing and claiming it okay, while Justin doing it is not okay. That doesn't exist. It only ever exists the other way around with Liberal supporters.

It's not twisted logic, because it goes to credibility. Someone worried about ethics in such circumstances woudn't have stayed on a billionaire's boat for 5 days before "checking in". She can rant and rave about ethics now but her credibility is squashed.

This doen't even require advanced levels of critical thinking and/or logic, it's just common sense (which tends to go out the window when "partisan logic" is applied).

Let's hear your thoughts on Justin Trudeau then.

Didn't think so. Hypocrisy. Partisan logic.

10 pages in this thread and you never said one peep about Justin, but jump in as soon as there's something about Ambrose...and even then, she didn't violate any ethics law.

Your character has been quashed. You're a blatant hypocrite with your undeniable partisan hat.

The whole thing that pisses me off with Ambrose on this issue is that it isn't just whether ethics rules were broken or not, its her and the rest of the PC party constantly railing on Trudeau about mingling with the rich and yet here she is doing the exact same thing. THAT is the hypocrisy that I HATE with her and the PC. EFF THEM ALL and I'm not even a big Trudeau supporter, just that the PC party trash is much worse and Ambrose can't go away fast enough.
Toronto sports teams..............forever cursed. Profound sadness. :(
