Don't. We don't need free trade with them. If China wants to slap tariffs on our resources, let them.

Of course we need them...second largest economy in the world....biggest trading partner to the states....we need them as our biggest trading partner is crazy and we need leverage and a backup plan

China is much better trading partner than the us

First you claim China has better governance and now this.

what's next? You going to tell us China has less corruption and better human rights record?

Exactly..Can't rely on the US too much and have them screw with us for everything from energy to commodities

Trading with democracies are actually very very bad..They are highly unstable and can be very unpredictable...Look at the US and mess we're in. Mess that the UK is in and so forth. Democracies are unstable, unpredictable and irratic

Trading with a stable country like China with authoritative rule is much better...That's why their cities like Hong Kong, Shanghai, beijing do so well. Same thing with effective state control countries like Singapore, Malaysia are also very stable and you don't have crazy 180s unlike democracies like the states that pander to fringe groups and is harmful to trade
You have literally no clue what you're talking about. Malaysia, due to poor governance, is very firmly in the middle income trap. They're not getting out any time soon. Malaysia has such an out of whack economy, with the Malay majority sponging off the Chinese Malaysian mercantile class and out of control corruption, that they have no choice but to make any deals they can with any country that will look the other way as they islamists slowly take over the society and corruption sinks the ship for everyone.

China is an absolute black hole for a free trade agreement. They can, and will, punish or bully weaker economies for political infractions. It's ironic that you praise China so much given that in China, this RFD Off Topic forum would likely get shut down by the government for being politically subversive.

The best way to proceed is to walk away. Nafta did enough damage to the Canadian Economy. More free trade deals will kill us.
