Two job offers. $75k, and $70k. Which one should I take?

I currently have two offers on the table. One is a Digital Marketing Specialist role that pays $75k. The other is a Senior Copywriter role for $70k. I have a lot more experience in copywriting, however many of my skills are transferrable.

I feel that I could learn a lot more in the Digital Marketing Specialist role, however it is still an entry-level position and the role is demanding. I've spent years as a intermediate-level copywriter, and advancing into a Senior role would be great for me. I also really enjoy the work.

RFD, I need help deciding. Which field has better prospects and long-term career growth? I'd like to be a Creative Director some day.

I would counter the senior role with 80, then take that for 75.

Your entry-level position makes more than I do and I'm mid-career lol. Both sound like pretty decent offers. I'm sensing that you'd like to try the marketing specialist role.

Questions:

What are the commute times?
How is the office vibe of each?
Are they both in the same industry?
Is there any bonus structure? Perks?
What is the reason you decided to leave your current company?

At the end of the day, a title is just that. Any company can call you anything they choose. Look at all the tangible and intangible benefits and don't focus solely on the title. Also, a $5K difference is not much. If you enjoy copy-writing then maybe continue doing what you love.

I agree with @MyNameWasTaken

compare commute times/cost
compare benefits
compare comfort level

it's what I would do, by your description, both roles sounds promising. Also if you can, negotiate that 70k into 75k.

You're vague on details. As others have mentioned, lots of things to consider.
At the end of the day, the difference (take-home pay) between those two different jobs is very small, more like $200/month. If the less paying job is closer, cheaper parking, etc. Then it becomes a no-brainer. Another factor is the strength of the company. No guarantee's in this world, but chances are a company that's been around for a long long time, will continue to be around for a long long time.

$5k is not a big difference. Other factors would play a much bigger part in this situation.

For sure they aren't, but everyone pumps the numbers a little. I expect the offers are closer to 60 and 65.

That said, this post is more about the OP being excited about getting two offers, as there is no where near enough info to give decent advice.

What does digital marketing specialist entail - creative directors are more branding, alignment, creative, strategy - but i assume a creative director with analytical experience can be beneficial.

If you wanna go pure creative stick to copywriting, if you wanna broaden skillset and provide more value down the line in terms of measurement & analytics take the 75k job

Take the offer that gives you more opportunities for advancement in the long run. 5K is not a big difference in my opinion.
