Type of mini HDMI for GPU Required - GTX 560

Hey folks,

So I am browsing the Prime Cables Hot Deals thread, and I am looking to order a mini HDMI (hook up to the GPU) to HDMI (hook up to monitor) cable.

I was browsing Prime Cables, and seems like the mini hdmi are different types, such as type C, etc. I want to order the right one, and I'd like assistance.

Thanks
Blanka

Mini HDMI is typically not used on video cards. Is this a laptop we're talking about? If it's a normal video card in a PC, are you sure it's not mini-DP?

I was going by the specs on Nvidia's website. Its not a Laptop GPU. Its a desktop GPU.

As for Mini DP, it didn't say. I checked the back of it, and it was tiny. As per Nvidia:

Mini HDMI is not all that "tiny", it's just slightly more narrow than a standard HDMI. Micro HDMI one might consider tiny but mini not so much. Keep in mind those Nvidia specs are for a 100% reference design which not many cards are in reality. Do you have a link from the manufacturer of your card for the correct model instead? Or, can you take a picture and post it here?

Probably too late now but I was referring to the actual model number.

Basically the standard reference 560ti does have a mini-hdmi port along with 2xDVI -

But if you have a custom board it may have different ports.
Some like this Asus follow the reference -

But others like this Zotac might be different, in this case a full size hdmi, full size dp and 2x DVI -

Sorry, its the 560 Ti.

So I guess all I need is the mini HDMI cable then eh?

Yeah seems like it is a mini HDMI then...weird. I'm surprised they bothered with that TBH--might as well have just put on two mini DP++ ports and included a passive HDMI adapter. Shrug.

I have a mini-HDMI on my laptop and it's a PITA. There's really no reason for it to be mini-HDMI (it's a 13" laptop and funny enough the smaller 12" version of it has a full-size HDMI port! ). I mean not that I connect it to anything but it's still just stupid because the cables aren't all that common. I eventually found a cool little Philips extendable/retractable mini-HDMI to HDMI cable at Princess Auto which I got for cheap in case I ever need to use it. Still say I go somewhere with the laptop and want to display it on someone's TV or something? With a normal HDMI port it's pretty simple--just unplug something else and into the laptop. But no such luck with stupid mini-HDMI--so few devices have it so the cables are a pain to get ahold of, unfortunately.
