UBC Clubs
What are the best clubs to join at UBC?
I can highly recommend the UBC Varsity Outdoors Club. I've been a member for a few years and have got so much out of this club. Lots of friendly members are keen to teach new members how to backpack, rock climb, winter camp, telemark ski, snowshoe, or anything outside. With a membership you also get access to free gear rentals from the club and access to the climbing wall behind the theatre in the sub. Everyone at UBC should do at least one VOC trip if you get a chance.
The UBC Ski & Snowboard club is also good to join if you're looking for groups to do some ski trips with or just want discount lift tickets.
Clubs are a great way to meet people on campus and most of them are well worth the membership fee. There are hundreds to choose from...
