Add Ken Haslam and Jenn Haslam selling in Manitoba as well. Here is something Ken posted to Facebook:
http://www.facebook.com/ThePILLMethodJenn did a P.I.L.L. presentation last night and they have decided to activate their account during the 1st week of April after their refinance has funded. They were a couple the we called out of the blue a few months back. They were having struggles financially and were open to having us look at their situation to see what we could do for them. Their response was simple, they have been looking for someone to teach them how money works and how to move forward and we are those people. Praise God.
Jeeezus. These people are teaching others "how money works." These agents run away, screaming, from amortization tables. Ken Haslam's "mentor", Ken McAllister, could not or would not discuss numbers in this very thread.

The Pill Method folks are still below 1 sale per day, but apparently Ken McAllister is still getting the occasional sale, and the only other Canadian agents still visibly involved in this scam are Carmen Bergeron near Sudbury and Blaine Mitton in Mississauga.

Pill?
I've not researched yet, and to be blunt, wasted enough time on MMA that I'm not going to do more than one update/warning on my blog to advise against this new system.
I'll ask here - is PILL a respin of MMA? Same crap? HELOC shuffle and all? Same bad math?
Is there no irony that these programs are being pushing in a time of record low rates? There are blue chip stock funds yielding near the after tax cost of mortgages today. When did owing money at 3.5% (after tax) become evil?

I've wasted far too much time on it as well, but I hate to see Canadians victimized.
Here is an explanation of the P.I.L.L. Method, from their Facebook page:
http://www.facebook.com/ThePILLMetho...93&topic=12352A Description of
The PILL Method for Accelerated Mortgage and Debt Repayment
PILL is an acronym for Prepayment of Principal, Isolation of principal amounts, Leverage and Liquidity. In repaying debt, key factors are often overlooked. Four of these factors are; Benefit-Cost Ratios, Benefit Cost Analysis, Critical Point Analysis, and Leverage, a banking strategy used to offset principal so as to reduce interest costs.
The PILL method is designed to utilize these key factors and provide a set of instructions that, if followed, would aid individuals and or institutions to significantly lower the cost of borrowed money regardless of the contracted interest rate.
In this model, one would use specific amounts of idle cash flow to offset borrowed monies from an open-end loan source and then place those borrowed monies as principal prepayments on primary closed-end loans. By using algorithms the repayment of the secondary open-end loan principal will be done at a much lower interest cost than the primary closed-end loan.
Thus the amount of principal paid back remains the same because the prepayments to the primary closed-end loan came from the secondary open-end loan, where the amount of interest paid can be reduced significantly by using an offset method. The cost of monies borrowed can be reduced by ½ to 2/3 using specific algorithms to calculate the exact amounts to be borrowed from the secondary open-end loan and the exact dates those funds are to be applied to the primary closed-end loan in the form of principal prepayments. All calculations are base on a current up-to-date snapshot of an individual’s or an institution’s financial picture including updated variables.
This method using a Benefit Cost Analysis system (BCA) will calculate the most favorable Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) by constantly reevaluating the variables of ones finances. This will assure the absolute lowest cost for a loan resulting in the maximum benefit i.e. accelerating the pay off so that one can achieve debt freedom in the fewest number of months possible. Using these two methods in conjunction is called Critical Point Analysis*.
The Liquidity component will allow one to utilize the power of every penny of their income. In conjunction with an open ended line of credit, this will facilitate the canceling of interest, while at the same time allowing full access to those funds to meet current obligations and emergencies should they arise.
In other words this system perfectly plans and then prompts you to execute precise balance transfers at exact times so that you are paying back your borrowed principal at greatly reduced interest costs. Thus paying back your loan faster without increasing your monthly budget because more of your same payment dollar is now applied to principal than was applied to interest!
Liquidity: The ability to access ones own cash on demand or the ability to easily convert ones assets to cash without discount.
*Critical Point Analysis: Is a technique derived from the fact that in any highly complex system there is a specific, critical point at which the smallest input will result in the greatest change.
Benefit Cost Analysis: An algorithm designed to determine accurate data to be supplied to the algorithm that determines Cost Benefit Ratio due to constantly changing variables.
Benefit Cost Ratio: An algorithm designed to determine the greatest distance between the cost of implementation and the benefit of that implementation.
Algorithm: It is a type of effective method in which a list of well-defined instructions for completing a task will, when given an initial state, proceed through a well-defined series of successive states, eventually terminating in an end-state.
I think most of us can see through crap like this. The whole explanation makes me want to vomit, it's that much of an offense to basic finance and math.

Joe, I can't blame you. UFirst have sold their agent list to Market America, which will sell a "white label" version of the MMA, for less than UFirst charges. The PILL Method represents a last-ditch attempt by a handful of UFirst agents to make 300 MMA sales from February until the end of April, to justify creating their own company as a sales alternative to Market America. UFirst agents are only allowed to sell through UFirst until the end of April.* With 8 of those 13 weeks gone, they have 35 sales, so there is zero danger of them meeting this sales goal, except in their fantasies. What concerns me, is good portion of the sales they are getting is to Canadians, mostly in the Winnipeg area. So, Ken McAllister and his small group of scammers appear to be almost the only people left on the planet who are able to sell this scam, and Canadians aren't as bright as I had hoped.
My purpose is to update this thread and keep it at the top of the rankings until the April 30 deadline, so prospective customers can easily find better information than they are being presented by their agents, thus preventing as many sales as possible.
After April 30, the Money Merge Account will likely go to Market America to die, and I will be looking for a new hobby.Last edited by BartBandy; Mar 24th, 2011 at 10:48 AM.

People still send me stuff. Some anonymously, some I know. I think some of the stuff that came out last summer, came from someone who was quite high up in UFirst, then possibly let go - the information was that good. Some of it I haven't even gone through yet (this isn't my job). A lot got leaked last summer, and that helped put the final nail in the coffin, as emails about rifts in the company and their attempts to get their hands on some capital came to light. Suffice to say, UFirst doesn't do a good job of keeping secrets, which must be comforting for clients of a company that stores some of their financial information.
My information about the April 30th deadline and the attempts by Donald Daniel and his PILL Method scammers to create their own company come from a leaked report from UFirst themselves, and the PILL Method Facebook page. I'll post a link to the memo later.
UFirst have, since their announcement of the dissolution of their sales force, stopped their marketing and training efforts, and will simply sell through Market America, where I expect the product will be forgotten and die out. UFirst will primarily still exist to collect payments from those who have signed up on a payment plan. They claim they will continue to develop new versions of the MMA/MML, but I don't think anyone really believes it. Well, some do, but they also believe UFirst isn't a scam.
The other interesting thing, is Market America sells the MMA for $1995, and have been selling at that price for a year. UFirst agents sell it for $3500. I wonder if they tell their clients that they ripped them off for $1500 extra because that way, they get a larger commission?
"Helping people", indeed.Last edited by BartBandy; Mar 26th, 2011 at 01:47 PM.

NO!!!! You do not propose that God is behind this silly product. NO! You don't say you Praise God for another sale. It is not because of God, but rather in spite of Him that you make another sale!!! It is very, very, very unfortunate that sslinn refers to the "mob" in Steinbach and that a few select people from within "the community" push this product on those with "financial struggles." On behalf the the community let me apologize.
As a matter of fact, last month the Pastor stood up front and encouraged a community (the city-wide community) like Steinbach , prone to jump on board with multi-level marketing schemes (see recent Business in Motion lawsuits). He rather said do research. Get advice from an expert. Look at how other places have been tarnished and don't follow suit!! With a little research, you can se what others are saying and stay away from SCAMS!!!
Do not bring God into your sales! Do not say you are doing it for people and for God when you make huge, irrational profit and squeeze another $3500 out of ill-informed, panic-stricken customers!!! For a useless, pointless "magic" calculators.
The "mob" or the "community" does not stand behind this. Many within have also been tricked. United First Financial or UFirst or Money Merge or P.I.L.L. is a SCAM!!!
If you are being pursued, please ask around Steinbach. Go to your bank or credit union. Ask them what they think of Money Merge and PILL. The more people you ask - the better!!! Remember if it is such a great product, they will encourage you to take your time and to seek other PROFESSIONAL opinions! Putting a business suit on and calling oneself a financial advisor does not make one a professional. Find a successful business owner. A financial professional in a large business. There are many here in Steinbach. Get several opinions. Go to any bank in Steinbach.
Look around and find a low interest rate for your mortgage.
Make additional principal payments.
Spend less than you earn.
Stay away from credit cards unless you must book a hotel room (and pay it off before you pay a whopping 20% interest!)
If you are already in financial trouble, do not bother going another $3500 in debt. Use that money to pay down your credit cards so you can free up some money to make extra principal payments to your mortgage.
Sometimes it's a bit too easy to trust someone because they praise God for a sale. Because they say God wants you out of debt. Because it's their "calling" to help people get out of debt.
I have much in common with people like this. I want you out of debt too. I also believe in God.
But, I think you should run far, far away from Money Merge.

I am not going to good looking for my post that referred to a "mob" of people, but I am confident I meant that the "mob" would be created when folks realized they had been ripped off.

It is becoming very much a product that is on life support and sold through religious connections and trust...through affinity fraud.
The Pill Method Trust is a company that has been set up as an alternative to marketing through Market America. Pill Method Trust agents will still sell the MMA for $3500, instead of the $1995 charged by Market America agents. Pill Method agents have a similar compensation schedule as UFirst. I'll post the particulars later. UFirst agents can become Pill Method agents for $100. New Pill Method agents will be charged $395 for the privilege of scamming people for $3500.
Through it all, I still get information from people. Does anyone want the login info for the UFirst Back Office, while it is still online? As it turns out, United First Financial password encryption is, shall we say, lacking.Last edited by BartBandy; Apr 3rd, 2011 at 09:07 PM.

From the article:
Kimberley Heier, UFirst agent #931161, Steinbach, MBMichael Rozak, 57, Kimberley Heier, 50, Lisa Behrendt, 48, Annie Petkau, 38, Katharine Reimer, 52, Melinda Scheper, 45 and David Kauenhowen, 59, were all charged with illegal lottery scheme under the Criminal Code.
Branch Manager: Ken Haslam
Reim'er Reason (Katharine Reimer), UFirst agent #946592, Steinbach, MB
Branch Manager: Ken McAllister
Ken McAllister and Ken Haslam have, in their downlines, people who have apparently been charged in connection with an "illegal lottery scheme", relating to a pyramid scheme other than UFirst. It should be noted that Ken Haslam was recruited by Ken McAllister, so both women charged are technically in Ken McAllister's downline.
Interesting, eh?Last edited by BartBandy; Apr 4th, 2011 at 01:14 PM.

I wrote a spreadsheet that will do just what you ask. Just google joetaxpayer spreadsheet, and it should come right up. It tells you the exact interest and time saved by making a prepayment. It does not suggest how much to prepay any day because that part of MMA was the real scam.

This is awesome: Ken McAllister now lists himself as a "Financial Educator" with The P.I.L.L. Method Trust LLC.

I need a LinkedIn profile. As long as we're playing make-believe, I think I'll be a "Nuclear Physicist", or maybe a "Neurosurgeon".
