Well today the rumor has been confirmed, Ken started a new page on facebook called "Dominion Lending Centres Haslam Mortgage Team" and through some connections I found out that they have leased a space in town already too and will be moving in any time. I find it ridiculous that people take advantage of others lack of knowledge to completely rip them off to put food on their own table. It's one thing when they can correct themselves and say they didn't know that they were actually ripping people off, but that is not the case here. They know, without question, that the product isn't what it claims to be, and they still sell it.....pathetic.
On another note, I ran in to another one of Ken Mc's "happy" clients.....said he has been on the program for months and it has not helped AT ALL. Why? Because he doesn't have the extra money to put in to the mortgage to pay it down to make the smoke and mirrors program work. He called Ken numerous times to advise him that he would like to cancel his subscription based account and has not heard a word back. He finally went to his institution and requested a stop payment. Hows that for customer service?
If the not-so-happy client gets the payments stopped, Ken McAllister stops getting his share of the commission, which is paid out monthly in this situation.
We can't really tell people to stop payments on their MMA subscriptions, because I'm sure there is a contract involved, but it would be interesting to know what UFirst does in these situations. Would they turn the matter over to a collection agency? What are the actual terms of the contract? If I had the energy, I could log into UFirst and download a contract, but my level of interest is at an all-time low. I'm just happy to have helped put a nail in the UFirst coffin, and expose a few charlatans like the Kens in question.

Checked in on those P.I.L.L. Method fools. Seems we have an Ontario agent by the name of Gazel Jibb. Reading his comments, he doesn't appear to be selling a thing, but he describes himself as a "Go Giver!!!"
http://www.facebook.com/ThePILLMethod
You just keep on "go giving", you crazy bearded scammer dude.
And Ken McAllister no longer lists the Pill Method on his LinkedIn page. After spending a couple of weeks as a (laughable) "Financial Educator" with the Pill Method Trust, he is now a "Consumer Advocate" with something called "Mortgage Acceleration Services", whatever that is.
Isn't a consumer advocate supposed to be on the side of the consumer? This definition would seem to mean that a Lion could be a "Zebra Advocate".

Fark Ken. Here's the subscription agreement:
http://backofficedocs.s3.amazonaws.c...08.13.2010.pdf
I don't think you need to be logged in to the back office to download it. If you do, I'll re-host it.
The subscription can be cancelled any time with 5 days notice. Ken's "residual income" just went down, and there's not a damn thing he or UFirst can do about it.
Edit: The above link is the "special offer". This is the old one:

Same 5 day cancellation notice applies. They might be able to get another month out of a client who puts a stop on the payments, but that's it.

Well, one good thing has come of this - it caused me to look it up, and now we can honestly tell Canadians who signed up for an MMA subscription that they can cancel with a written notice to UFirst, at least 5 business days before the next payment is due.
Here's a sample letter:
Dear United First Financial:
I wish to cancel my MMA subscription (account ID), effective immediately. I am giving you more than the required 5 business days notice before my next payment is due, and I have cancelled the pre-authorized payment with my bank.
Sincerely,
Name
I urge any Canadians who are still on an MMA subscription to issue letters like this as soon as possible, and definitely cancel the payments with your bank or CC company as well. It's not like you can trust UFirst to do the right thing.

Are people this gullable?
When someone is trying to take your money, $3500 of it, and you ask two or three friends for advice, wouldn't you think one would be able to explain what a scam these programs are? It seems this will never end. It's sickening. These people all belong in jail, every last one of them.
Edit - I just left a comment on the PILL facebook page, two actually. I don't know why I bother. Some people want to be ripped off, no stopping them.

I want this to end. Isn't there someone out there who can talk some sense into Ken? Maybe someone who knows him? There are many, many, many dissatisfied people. Unfortunately no one is talking. Some out of shame, some tried talking to him and hit there head against the wall. Some dont talk for other reasons. Obviously he just doesn't respect some people. Some one put there....if he repects you, please try talking to him. In one circumstance the financials problems nearly broke up a marriage. Causes more troubles than helps.
I just don't understand when facts are presented how he can ignore those and keep pushing sells. Push push push push push
I hear all the banks here know about it and are telling people to stay away. Ken would say because banks have prescribed way of paying and want you to stay in debt. Banks have normal people working in them who know it's a waste of money.
There is so much evidence. How can we ever convince him to stop ripping people off ? Or do we forget it and say if people are too dense to just let them. I an angry because he makes a living from other people's panic and worry. Maybe it's easier to have freedom and no boss and lots of money instead of getting a real job lime all the people he took money away.

I'm of the opinion that Ken McAllister is a scam artist, and not just willfully ignorant like you suggest. There is no talking common sense to him, because he can not make money on spreading common sense. He makes money by spreading fear about banks and convincing people that this MMA product will somehow defeat the banks. The truth is, banks simply don't care. In fact, because MMA clients usually end up spending more on total interest charges than if they had simply paid more to their mortgages and debts on their own, the banks, if they cared at all, would love the Money Merge Account. Threatening banks with the MMA is like threatening children with ice cream.

Indeed, the only way to get someone like Ken to stop is for a large number of his clients to come forward publicly, in a place such as this, to announce their dissatisfaction with him and the Money Merge Account. If people who are not happy stay silent, then he can continue to claim high levels of client satisfaction.
As it is, it looks like Ken has dropped the losers over at The Pill Method, who bring new meaning to the term "incompetent". Here's a sampling from their Facebook conversations:
