2 and 2XL are at $0 at Rogers right now.
Too bad you'll be stuck paying 100$/month for 24 months on a regular Pixel 2 just to get unlimited + 2gb month. You'll be paying 1000$ for your Pixel vs a BYOD plan at a discount provider.

I'm looking to get my hands on a Pixel 2 (or one) and am willing to switch providers for the right deal but I'll probably have to cross fingers for boxing day.

Some people can live with a higher monthly cost to avoid paying $1000 outright for the phone. As high end phones get more and more expensive, buying them outright isn't as feasible for everyone who might want such a phone.

No, it doesn't help that we pay exorbitant rates for cellular service, but increasing costs of phones isn't going to improve BYOD adoption either.

Did your replacement still have the blue tint?
My replacement just came today and it has the same horrible blue tint. Returning this one too.

Are there actually devices without the blue tint? Mine as it.

You're right it's just frustrating when you're shopping for a deal by any means necessary and phone companies continuously mislead you into thinking you're saving money while actually paying full price with interest. I'd be happy even with a Pixel 1 at a discount but they're selling for more than even the 2's! I'll just wait out till boxing day and if that doesn't work I'll go used.

Probably not... LOL

But, looking through threads, I saw this:

Looks great so I'm hoping I get one of these.

With the 10GB $85 premium expiring today Monday 18th Dec, the pixel 2xl 64GB is about $200. One is saving over $800 on the retail price. Over a 2 year term although the monthly rate is $25 per month more than the identical $60 BYOD, a total savings of $200 is made ( $800 - ($25*24)) compared to buying a phone outright.
2 year contracts are not always bad compared to BYOD. Simply weigh the options of BYOD vs contract especially when a new phone is needed.

I have a Spigen case. It looked pretty good before I shipped back my phone to get a replacement for horrendous blue tinting.
So I've been using my Ringke case over the weekend and it's not bad...I would have preferred a bit more of a softer TPU (i.e. grippier) case. The thickness is pretty good as well.

I'll keep looking.

At this point I would just give up lol.

Pictures are misleading without a reference.

I can take pictures of the 2XL as well and despite blue tint staring at my face the picture itself doesn't show any.

Pixel 3 should fix all of the issues plus with Snapdragon 845, we might get 4K HDR recording which is sweet.
