And you can still download cracked apps, just not directly from the iphone. This isn't the forum to discuss it.

you obviously have not bought some of the apps from cydia. yes, some people actually don't steal apps....although there are many other places to get apps than just installous.

Can someone list the benefits of jailbreaking? I've rooted before, but never JB. One thing I've always wanted to get rid of is all the facebook birthdays in the notification center.

You mean ATV3 right?

He means ATV2. The exploit supports it, but there isn't a tool out yet to jailbreak the ATV2 on the latest official firmware from Apple.

mchuong is correct. I mean Apple TV 2, which is supported... when they get around to it. I was just wondering how long the delay usually is for Apple TV 2. (The Apple TV 3 isn't supported at all with this jailbreak.)

P.S. I thank my lucky stars my wife knew nothing about Apple TV when she bought one for us. Instead of waiting another couple of months for the imminent Apple TV 3 release I knew was coming, she chose to buy the Apple TV 2 instead for Xmas 2011. Little did I know that even until now in 2013, the Apple TV 3 would remain immune to jailbreaking.
