TLDR: This Serpentine Pavilion was originally setup in London in 2016. It's here in Toronto and open to the public before it's dismantled in November for its final move to Vancouver . Complimentary timed tickets are needed for entry.

I've been walking past this spot daily and lots of passerbys are trying to sneak a peek now that it's 95% complete. (I think Netflix had the Roma TIFF after party there last night)

Pretty cool structure... if you can get tickets and time to go and see it from close, do it.

I saw this in London by happenstance. It's a really cool structure (the London installation had a cafe inside as well). Thanks op for the sign-up, I thought it would be open for all w/o the need for a ticket.

There's a regular security guard at the front entrance atm.... So i think ticketing is just for crowd control.

There's also a greenhouse style building adjacent to the sculpture with a bar or cafe.

Went yesterday and a couple of things to note.
  • Hours are 11 to 6. They close at evenings for private events.
  • Get the Eventbrite tickets ahead of time; there were a lot of confused passerbys who weren't allowed in. (Taking a peek at the site, most times are "sold out" for the weekend)
  • Doggos are permitted.
  • There's tons of staff who are more than willing to take your latest Facebook/Instagram/Tinder profile photo. They'll also answer questions about the upcoming build on that site. (pictured below)
  • Free macarons!

Evenbrite only has tickets listed till 9/30, but most media outlets say its open till 11/30.

Wait a week to see if Eventbrite adds more times for October and November.

Can we just show a ticket on a smartphone, or do we have to have it printed?

Oh good call! It will look pretty trippy at night if we get white in November

The Eventbrite app is like the Ticketmaster app. I just showed the QR code on the Eventbrite app to get in.

BlogTO makes it look massive. It's a decent size but not that big since it is located in the city.

The exhibit is much smaller than I remember it. Still a cool photo op (sadly the side tent was empty and no macarons)

As an aside, I believe you can get walk up tickets to the exhibit. But the staff at the front will make you apply for the "Additional Release" tickets on Eventbrite and its subject to capacity.

Heads up. Exhibit got extended to December 21 (at the earliest); there'll be an Xmas Market there btw Dec 1 and 21.
