I would generally agree with this sentiment. However, if you are looking to buy the phone on contract, then it's a pretty good price. Wind, for example, wants $549 outright, and if you take their largest "tab" then you still have to pay $249, plus you have to stick with wind for 3 years in order for the $300 tab to be completely payed off. Therefore, if you don't mind a contract, this actually looks pretty decent.

ya. i guess if you are going on contract you might as well take the discount (and assuming this is the phone you want). I was referring to the no-contract price being $100 more. I assumed it was 8gb for $425. Given that it is 16gb, then it is $50 more.

$100 on 2 year contract is still crap for a $377 phone. That's $277 subsidized over 2 years (~$138/year) versus getting something like the GS3 on a $0 sale and about $600 subsidized over 3 years (~$200/year)

Let's see... have well over $100 in Fido dollars so it seems to be it is a good deal from FIDO .... AND .... get it under contract. I can always buy the phone out if I decide to move to a different carrier. If you plan on going with Fido, why not take the subsidy?

FYI, the S3 costs more ... it is not WORTH that much more.
