Ice cold deal. I think I got frostbite just from reading it.

Did I accidentally visit RedFlagRipoffs.com?

I just called and apparently its starting from the 13th of Feb, not 5th. Also this promotion is apparently extended ONLY to existing customers?

You may want to call yourself to verify, the rep I spoke with did not seem to know that this promotion was happening until she spoke with a supervisor.

I'm kinda tempted even though the deal isn't that great. What else am I gonna spend my FidoDollars on? What do people usually use their spare FidoDollars on, by the way? Mine just sits doing nothing - don't know what to do with them.

Same here. +$80 fido dollars sitting in my account... plus fido has the trade in program for about $50.

Someone kill this thread already

Buying something for $50 ABOVE MSRP is not a deal.
But you get all of Fido's bloatware pre-installed for $50!!

Lol, terrible deal.

Going this route makes no sense with a 2 year contract.

I would generally agree with this sentiment. However, if you are looking to buy the phone on contract, then it's a pretty good price. Wind, for example, wants $549 outright, and if you take their largest "tab" then you still have to pay $249, plus you have to stick with wind for 3 years in order for the $300 tab to be completely payed off. Therefore, if you don't mind a contract, this actually looks pretty decent.
ya. i guess if you are going on contract you might as well take the discount (and assuming this is the phone you want). I was referring to the no-contract price being $100 more. I assumed it was 8gb for $425. Given that it is 16gb, then it is $50 more.

Think you misread there. It's $100 on 2 year contract and $425 outright (no contract).
Oops I did. Still. You're paying more with taxes.

$100 on a 2 year plan is decent considered if you have Fido dollars.

not a deal

$359 + $18 shipping from Play Store = $377 + local taxes

So Fido is selling for about $50 MORE than the Play Store (yes you pay taxes in a Fido store - in case you were thinking it was a magical land of pixies and fairies)

No thanks.

$100 on 2 year contract is still crap for a $377 phone. That's $277 subsidized over 2 years (~$138/year) versus getting something like the GS3 on a $0 sale and about $600 subsidized over 3 years (~$200/year)

You're welcome for actually doing the math.

Can you get a contract with unlimited minutes, long distance and 2 gig data for under $60 with an S3 (or i5)?

Are there any decent 2 year plans though?

Let's see... have well over $100 in Fido dollars so it seems to be it is a good deal from FIDO .... AND .... get it under contract. I can always buy the phone out if I decide to move to a different carrier. If you plan on going with Fido, why not take the subsidy?

FYI, the S3 costs more ... it is not WORTH that much more.
