Salvage when you move from QC to ON?
That's not right.

I should know. I bought a car from QC. It definitely didn't say salvage on it. Somethings wrong here...
OP must look super naive because it seems he'll believe anything. Either that or I can't tell if he's trolling since 98% of his RFD contributions are socialist rants from Off Topic.

No lawsuit. Actually I don't know what the laws are about moving from Quebec to Ontario re: a salvaged vehicle. But I'm taking his word for it, and I am moving on.

its weird how carproof shows 1 claim under police reports but accidents and insurance theres no claim yet its branded salvage?

I found this:

Individual vehicle owners who don't receive a claim settlement through their insurance company for a severely damaged vehicle must have the brand determined by an authorized mechanic in a type 6 Motor Vehicle Inspection Station (MVIS).

Q5: What happens to vehicles branded in another province when they are registered in Ontario?
Vehicle brand information from other Canadian or US jurisdictions will be carried forward when vehicles are registered in Ontario, with the exception of the "Rebuilt" brand.
Imported vehicles with a "Rebuilt" designation or its equivalent from other Canadian or US jurisdictions will be registered as "Salvage" in Ontario. These vehicles need to undergo a structural inspection to make sure they have been properly repaired before they can be branded as "Rebuilt" in Ontario.

This thread makes no sense... Thanks for the warning not to purchase from Sportmotors.ca. Subliminal messaging works great

Time for OP to undo the title change. Good thing I quoted him for posterity.

lol at OP....the only reason why you would remove your post and change the title is if the dealership threatened you.

If you had a bad experience with them, it should be your right to truthfully explain it to other potential customers. If other potential customers searches for sport motors in google, hopefully they find this thread.

You said the price was right and it was a beautiful ride, so why aren't you buying the car? Are you concerned that the "salvage" title is really a salvage and not standard procedure of moving cars between provinces?

Is sportmotors.ca owned by a certain brake cleaner loving shop?
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car; oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall; torque is how far you take the wall with you.

You can't be sued for telling the truth....This is one shady as hell dealer and they will sell this vehicle to someone that doesnt know any better. Shocked there is not a law against this.
