If you are inquiring about importing one of the more recent Lambos from the U.S., say a gallardo, it is next to impossible. The reason? The middle man. Let's call him "the importer". The importer has a very strong vested interest in ensuring all Lambos in Canada were bought through him. Even though the 3 Lambo dealers in Canada are independent, they have a contract with the importer and thus must buy all new Lambos from this importer, including all parts and warranty items. Also, attempting to get the neccessary paper work from Lambo Canada for importing would be futile for reasons explained.
Essentially, you are SOL!

Pardon my ignorance (I've only imported a used older Audi) - what documents would you need from Lambo Canada? Wouldn't it mostly hinge on documents from Lambo USA and/or a Lambo USA dealer?
Just curious - I could see any warranty not being honored in Canada, but maybe the importation would be different.

YGPM. There have been many requests for dealers I've dealt with. I have only called a few in and around NYS and dealt with one dealer which I've named in another thread. I'm only giving out the dealer I dealt with in which he was OK with. I don't know any other dealers which are willing to deal with Canadians.

I'm going to add my 2 cents worth here as well and verifiy the experiences of am145:
Same thing happened to me. I waited longer than the 10 days and called them up. They emailed the form 2 in less than 2 mins. I must admit that it was weird as the email just contained a 2 page PDF. BTW, they keep notes on when they sent it to you.
Crappy Tire said the same thing to me and wouldn't inspect my car. I suspect they just didn't want to do it b/c they were busy at the time and were short staffed. I just went to another CT and they inspected my car no problem. When I went to CT to have it inspected, they rejected my Recall Clearance Letter because it was hand written. It was on dealership letterhead, but the guy insisted it must be typed. So I had the dealership send me another one.
After the 1st CT refused me, I actually called up the RIV and spoke to someone about this. They said that the CT was lying and the documentation that I had was correct. I had a printed piece of paper with the dealership's letter head AND a printout from their computer system saying that my car had no outstanding recalls. Stupid Crappy Tire. After I got the inspection approved by CT and had the car registered, RIV sent me a letter telling me they rejected the paperwork submitted by CT because they wanted a recall letter from Subaru USA, that the dealership wasn't good enough. I called them up and asked why when their website clearly states a letter from the dealership is sufficient. They were strange.
I'm still waiting for my sticker from the RIV. It's been over a month. I hope I don't run into this situation. I'm going to do exactly the same thing as AM145 if they reject my recall documentation.I ended up printing out the page from the RIV website and faxing it to them with a letter saying "I have fulfilled all requirements as specified." And a week later they sent me my import sticker. Try to get the letter from the manufacturer if possible, or get the dealership to print out something from their recall database showing that there's nothing outstanding.
