The French original is very, very enjoyable. Here's hoping the remake won't suck but I remain quite skeptical.

Part of what worked so well for me in the original film were the moments of childish innocence by Driss, have a hard time seeing that with Kevin Hart.

Exactly!
Why are foreign films so hard for wider audiences to enjoy? It doesn't take much away from a film or show.
Intouchables was a very cute film - not sure how Hart's going to fill that role

Watched it. It was really well done. Enjoyed the characters and story a lot. Glad I came across this thread!
