You are correct in your assumptions and that user definitely qualifies as an "abuser" of downvoting. I will ask Tom to investigate.
Thank you.

I've cleaned up the thread.

I'm calling downvote abuse in this thread. I was downvoted 2 times...seems everytime I post I get downvoted despite posting Ontario driving laws around intersection so it's not even my opinion.

We should protect trolls instead?
Why do people who behave badly need protecting, unless we actually advocate bad behaviour

This logic implies you should lower yourself to the standards of the trolls. You're welcome to do that.

While I agree with the counter-productive and useless value of the downvote system as it is, it is (as evidenced by the posts of late herein) simply creating childish complaining & tattle-taleing(Sp?).

One of the reasons why I never wanted to become a mod is because they're simply mediating, addressing complaints, dealing with reports, appeasing tantrum throwers. I come to RFD to enjoy myself., not to beef. Clearly a lot of people come here to beef, as I can read them being confrontational and seeking attention all day long., and I only come on for a fraction of the time I used to come on before. It's unfortunate, but meh.

Just an observation.

"Adults", becoming childish & resorting to a tattle-tale way of life. Really people? It's the internet!! lol. move on.

Cue downvotes. (I couldn't care less).

I love the doublethink here, not wanting to be trolled is equivalent to lowering yourself to being a troll
Great way to justify trolling, i can do whatever i want to people and my victims are as bad as me if they don't like it so i can keep doing it

I won't be downvoting your post, you can confirm this by checking my profile

It's clear why it was downvoted and deserved. We should discourage bad behavior/deals and reward good ones

We should discourage posting of deals that aren't hot. It's like back in the day when people posted mdg dealz
I am adding u to my ignore list.

I don't like amazon deals that expire after 15 minutes but telling people not to post hot deals because we don't like them shoots us in the foot, if a deal comes along that benefits me i will be very happy it was posted.
Sometimes "bad deals" are good. Because youre in a spot where you need that item anyways. 1 dolla off or 5% is better than nothing.
