URG: SE w600i data cable as charger?

Folks,

Can I use my w600i data cable as a charger? I recently lost my charger and don't want to buy a new one locally and spend $25+ for one locally. I'd rather buy 2 for $8 on ebay.

This morning on the way to work, I was thinking that the data cable could be used as a charger. Since I don't have the data cable at work, I can't test it.

If the general consensus is that it won't work, I'll bite the bullet and buy one locally for $25+ from the Source or Wireless Wave or something...
