The military is the U.S.'s social program. Sucks for the poor people. However, much of the money coul be better spent elsewhere. How much have they wasted in Iraq now? How many friends have they made there?

Somehow I have a feeling that if US government stop spending that much,

1. their economy will collapse
2. our economy will follow. We have a lot of business here directly and indirectly feeded by their military contract.
3. the world economy will also follow.
