Pretty good if you can swing the US thing. I'd add a bigger battery though.

The 4-cell battery is good. It's the only battery that is flush with the laptop and really cuts down on weight when you can use it. I recommend having the 4 cell with a 9 or 6 cell battery. Most of the time when you don't need several hours on uninterrupted battery life, you will be thankful for having the 4 cell.

Mythos, do you know, or does anyone, if an American-bought Lenovo will be serviced under warrenty in Canada?
And if so... where did you find that coupon, is there a new one? That one you posted seems to be expired?

Let's hope this is a precursor for a killer deal like we had on the x61 last year around this time

I'd like that idea too ... but most people are usually gonna pick one battery and stick with it rather than float with 2 batteries ... unless there is some deal going on. I got my old Dell 640m with 2 batteries only because Dell was throwing in the 9 cell for no extra charge.
Picking only 1 battery, it would be hard for me to sacrifice the capacity of my 9 cell for the x200 over the weight savings/size of the 4 cell.
However, I don't transport much with my x200 ... if I was a serious student again going from class to class ... I may change my mind._______________

On the x200s, the 4 cell battery lasts about 3 hours for me which actually handles 99% of the situations I'm unplugged for. It's not hard to anticipate when I'll need more battery life and switch to a larger one (airplane mostly and nowadays they come with power outlets for you). Even around the house, I can stretch the 4 cell to last the day if I remember to put the computer on standby when I'm not actively using it.
At school would be the only time I would really want a high life battery and that's only if I elect not to bring an adapter with me._______________
