EDIT: you changed your post to say it's Canada too, you should edit your title.

the rebate is from InFocus and looks to be valid for whatever purchase, so if you can find one of these in any store in Canada, they should still offer the rebate.

They say:
"Consumer must reside in the United States or Canada." so nothing about buying it in the states.

However, they note that they won't honor purchases from Costco or Staples.
