TD currently has a 512mb Viking USB 2.0 flash drive for $41 without a MIR and a PNY 1GB drive for $71 with a MIR. Maybe they'll have a BD special but those aren't shabby deals.

USB Flash Drive and Compact Flash Memory
What do you think the best places will be for these?
The compusmart 512M usb would be exactly what i'm looking for, but the rebate is a pain in the butt.
Does anybody recall any particularly good deals on memory like this? From what I recall the sales (FS/BB/LD) weren't that great last year - maybe 10% off on items like these...

thanks! i'll keep my eyes peeled.
I can't decide which is worse though, the shipping from TD or the manufacturer's rebate!

Are you in the GTA? Look around your local stores and you can probably find good deals. I recently saw a 512mb Kingston drive for $34 on one of these threads.

Hehe, just so you know, you're not the only one eyeing that Memorex 512MB flash drive from CompuSmart.

For those of us in the GTA - Factory Direct (even though everybody hates 'em) usually has flash memory (CF & SD) and thumb drives on sale cheap on Boxing Day.
Last year I got a 256 meg thumb drive for $19.95 (Dane Electric brand).

They've currently got a 1GB Dane Electric drive for $70 after a $15 MIR.
