I have lots of experience with them, and it's all been great. Since we moved to Ottawa in 1999, I have bought five cars from them (I like to change my cars frequently). I've also sent them several friends and even had both my brother-in-law and my mother come up from Kingston to buy cars from them. I've bought mostly Nissans there, so I haven't had much trouble with the vehicles themselves, but when I have had the odd thing go wrong, they always manned up and fixed the issue (even when it was arguable whether it was really their responsibility). I'm not so fond of many other dealers in Ottawa, as I've had bad experiences with two Nissan dealers (one REALLY bad) and two Chrysler dealers in the same stretch of time, but Orr has never given me any reason to complain.

re Orr Motors
I have had the pleasure of dealing with Orr Motors twice in the past three years. The second time was at Christmas 2009 when I was in a car accident where my car was written off. Fred and his team were extremely helpful and patient, and Fred recommended a few different cars for me to try out. I did test drive quite a few as his lot has many choices to choose from. I did end up purchasing his first recommendation as it was the right choice! Fred even loaned me a car while the new one was being fixed up. Fantasic service and I would never go anywhere else.

Is this spam? Two respondents with first posts? Seems shady.

If youÈre looking for the cheapest price you might want to try mycar in Richmond
They advertise that they will beat any price that you find at another dealer.

Possibly. The same testimonials are also posted verbatim at http://www.orrmotors.com/dealership/blog.htm ... It could very well be that the dealership asked them to come here and post them.
But they're from different IP addresses and their account info seems legit._______________

This is embarassing.
Being someone from Ottawa who is in the market for a used car I would definitely not touch this place with anything under 100-ft._______________

Like I said, the accounts seem legit, especially the email address for the first one...not something you can fake. Some other businesses create fake personas to post reviews, but I don't think that's the case here.
The dealer probably saw that this thread is on page 1 of Google search results for "Orr Motors" and then asked some customers with positive testimonials to post them over here also. That still makes the reviews worthless, but it's not as bad as some of you are making it out to be._______________

really...?
Hmm… so a car dealer gets great reviews online… has been around for about 50 years… is A+ accredited with BBB… and you people think these are reasons to NOT buy a car from them… SMRT.
Handa and pete_coach - The only shady thing here is for you guys to slam my business and its credibility, with no knowledge of who I am or what we do... makes me wonder who you work for...! Guess that’s the danger of not having real people attached to an online identity, what I put up here is from someone real, and anyone can come meet me in person anytime, you guys can slam away with no consequence to yourselves or your livelihood, or for all anyone reading this knows, you could work for the competition. So, what do you do? Where do you work? What’s your real name?
As for the way we do things, the only way you're really going to know, is to come see for yourself. If we don't have good prices, and you don’t like what you see, then don’t buy the car, its really that simple, no one gets forced into buying a car here. The other dealer mentioned here - Mycar - is ten minutes from our door, so rest assured our prices are very competitive with each other. They do a good job of what they do and so do we, we both survive, and I am sure we both have happy customers.
Rehan is right - this review forum ranks first page on google searches for Orr Motors reviews, when I noticed it pop up first page, I started asking customers to leave reviews here (I also suggest to them google reviews, or simply on our website). We cut and paste the reviews we find online to our website, hence the duplication. Google reviews also picks up reviews left elsewhere online and adds them to their review inventory, is that fishy too!? Greg and Deb are real people who have really bought cars from us, (several in their cases) as are all the reviews we have online that I have seen. Keep in mind – not everyone leaves a review, its usually only people who are really happy or really pissed… fortunately we haven’t had any of the latter yet… but I am sure we will, cars are cars, and people love to hate car dealers (case in point). As a reseller of cars, all we can do is try and help out when they have problems, and I think if you read our reviews, you will find that is exactly what we do. If you are a car buyer and have any question about any of our reviews - we will be more than happy to verify them with you in person. So come see us and find out why our customers actually like us, instead of slamming a business and someone you know nothing about, while hiding behind a keyboard.

two cents
We were actually looking into purchasing a vehicle at ORR motors when we ran into this thread. It seemed strangely out of place since what we've heard from family and friends was all good information. We weren't sure what to believe so myself and my wife decided to try it out, fully expecting the worst and armed with our best cynicism.
I have to say, there wasn't one problem with them. They handled our dealings professionally and went out of their way to make sure we were happy.
We are satisfied with our purchase and wouldn't have a problem returning to them when our lease is up for our second car. I wasn't asked to post this review by anyone from ORR motors, I just wanted to give people the option to see two sides to this dealership. The best way to tell if a dealer is right for you is to go in informed and actually meet them.

Glad to read your post. My comments were based on what I saw and read back in April (I think your site has changed since then). I still stand by my contentions from back then. I just questioned the posts and you have confirmed that you asked your customers to post here.
Questioning credibility is not slamming, it is due diligence. Your posting here and clarifying your position has upped yours.
