Dude that sucks. I don't know what you can really do. Did you buy it with a credit card that has extended warranty? Then again its used so I don't know if its covered. At least after it's not repaired the second time they'll do something else for you.
I had to send in my Canon XS for repairs because it was displaying ERR99. I'm supposed to pick it up tomorrow. It's been 2 weeks. I hope they fixed it. It sucks not having your camera while they repair it.

Used lemon from Henry's
Just wondering if there is anything else I can do about my situation
Around ~1 year ago I bought a used Pentax K10D from Henry's, I bought their extended warranty as well.
After using it for a week or so I noticed that the viewfinder was misaligned and returned it for another used K10D.
About a couple months ago I noticed that there are green lines on my images that were taken on/above ISO800. I rarely took images above ISO400 so I never noticed it until couple months ago.
I looked back at my libraries and noticed those lines been apparent since a long time ago, I just never noticed it clearly as the lines doesn't show up that bad unless the image is underexposed.
So I sent it for repair and got it back after 7 weeks...I picked it up today and the problem is still there (the note I got from the repair order was they only replaced the PCB...)
I complained to Henry's...and they said there is nothing they can do except sending the camera back for repair again as it's their extended warranty policy to repair the device TWICE before they're able to do anything else.
Normally I would understand, but it took them 7 weeks to fix the camera and not to mention this is the 2nd Lemon I got. I'm just wondering what kind of options do I have....

This happened on my Sony A700. Noticeable line of noise going across the whole frame at ISO3200 and above. Brought it to Sony Canada's HQ under warranty, and they replaced the sensor. Took about two weeks because they had to order a new sensor from Japan. 7 weeks is way too long, though. Do you know if Henry's is doing the repair, or is it going to Pentax?
Slight defects are normal (hot pixels, stuck pixels here and there, etc), but bright lines across the whole frame are not._______________

IIRC if you drop off the camera at Henry's it gets routed to their repair location first (I think it's in Vaughn now) before being sent back to the manufacturer. Those transfers can add like 2 weeks to your repair. I can't remember if you can go directly to Pentax (I'm not sure where their repair facility is), but I'd ask the rep if you can, it might save you some time this round. Otherwise it won't be deemed a lemon til it comes back failed again as you're aware of.
Curious as to what your 2nd lemon was?

i dont like how they treat the used cameras at henrys.. i was at the queen st location and they were juggling the cameras.. he dropped two dslr's while flinging them up and down and when i asked him if i can take a look at the pentax, he took it from the shelf, threw it up in the air with a spin, caught it, and then handed it to me.. there was a lady buying a nikon camera that was shocked, but they assured her that her camera was not abused... pfttt.

Paul Green. He knows more than you, I, or most people ever will when it comes to the hardware and history of cameras and photography.
He specializes in film cameras, which is fairly obvious. The guys on the other side of the store who deal with digital always try to play pranks on the old film dude, and he retaliates making fun of the young kids. He comes from a time when cameras were made of thick heavy steel and magnesium (and other metals), not the plastic stuff you see everywhere nowadays. Cameras were also much simpler, and thus could be used and abused (you know, heavy-duty stuff like photojournalism) and still work every day.
I buy stuff from him every so often when the odd gem pops up in the used lens inventory. I've gotten two Minolta Beercans (70-210/4) from him, in good condition, for a good price.
He enjoys his job and you can see his enthusiasm. He's an avid historian, and often goes off-topic when talking to him. I find him very entertaining. He's also a popular fixture in the Toronto photography arena, lots of people know him on Flickr, for example._______________
