Using old thread to ask question

Hello there,

I found that numerous old threads hold relevant ideas to questions and answers. Do posting questions in the old thread and collecting all relevant content from the beginning to when I posted make sense?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

No, please don't bump old threads!

If you ask a question in it, it probably won't get answered anyway because most won't read the date of the thread or all posts in it anyway, and they will address the OP even though they've been MIA for years.

It's generally best to start a new discussion thread if the conversation has been silent for a long time. We're working on new feature which will automatically lock old threads and provide users with an easy way to create a new thread on the same subject from the archived thread.
