AM2 or S939?
140 even seems a bit high given the time of year. I've seen it on sale for around that price boxing week pricing. Yes, you save tax but it's brand new in the box, which might appeal to some for warranty purposes (local vs send back to AMD).

Value of AMD X2 3800+
hey guys i was just wondering how much these can fetch. I have one and have it up for sale, but it seems alot of ppl are considering my price as cheap? I have it for 140 right now but do you think i could get more for it?

thats odd, its just that its socket 939 and that i have gotten about 7+ offers for it, but nothing concerete. All of the offers were more then willing to pay the 140. Eh..

S939 would fetch you that no problem, given that they are damn hard to find now. Many are listing OOS.
Interesting...wonder if I should sell my 3800+ now...

I think $140 should be the going rate. If anybody's dumb enough to pay anything higher for a 939 needs to get screwed.
They might as well sell their 939 board and buy a AM2 mobo+cpu.

People will definitely pay more for a S939 X2 than a AM2 X2. You can't even buy them in stores anymore.
