Watched it lastnight and I liked it, I really liked the slow shots and sounds of cold air/snow.

Yeah I saw it last week. It was pretty good, actually really enjoyed it. Although 2 of the main characters are children, this movie is definitely not for children.

No, not at all.
People who read books/watch movies like Twilight, are not in any way in the same market as people are interested in watching Let the Right One In.
The only common theme is vampires.
That's like comparing The Little Vampire to Interview With A Vampire.
In regards to LTROI, I thought it was a superb film. Gorgeously filmed, excellent acting, eerily creepy and quite emotional.

This is an excellent movie. Certain parts are eerie yet serene. Very good movie.
I have a question for those that watched the movie. I'll white out the text so as to not give anything away for others:
In the scene where the boy peeks at the vampire changing at his home, the movie flashes to her privates and it seems like he saw something that surprised him. It looks like there is a scar there, what is the signficance of this? Or is it because it is the boy's first time at seeing a female part?

In white text:
I might be wrong but I think the film should be seen as more of a coming of age film than a vampire film. They are both lonely people who find love through each other. Having said this, it would make sense that it is the first time he saw a naked girl. The vampire element just adds a bit of a dark twist to the whole story

No man. The part you're talking about: (white text) Ella (was there her name? I forget) is actually not female. You remember the part where she said "what if I'm not a girl would you like me anyway?" so the scar is probrably from where she/he lost his genitalia of some sort so really she has no gender but just refers to itself as she.

Yeah I was thinking that as well. But then I thought, maybe she only considers herself a vampire and nothing else...... I dunno.......
I guess maybe it depends on how you want to interpret it? Not sure......
