Why are you so surprised at the cost? Wasn't it the same sorta thing when CD-R and DVD-R blank disks first came out? Just wait until next year and they'll be more reasonable and cheaper burners too.

so.... what's so good about this? i understand it gives a crispier image in terms of video
But in terms of just storing data, what is the difference between blue ray and conventional DVD?
