There are a lot of great ski resorts in Vermont if you are into some family skiing!

we went to stowe last year and it is what it is. The pizza shop in stowe was really good, forgot the name but they claim to be on of USA's top 10 pizza stores. As you mentioned theres the ben and jerry's ice cream tour, which is pretty funny. While in vermont we also went to burlington to visit the burton store, do some shopping (don't expect anything fancy) and just tried some local restaurants (none that i could really recommend)
Last but not least, the ski hills are just epic. Stowe was pretty laid back but the price for food was through the roof

I've been going to Stowe every year for the past several years. In March, as other posters have said, skiing is really going to be the highlight of the activities. The Ben and Jerry's factory is worth seeing but that will only take a few hours at most. Vermont is really about outdoor activities. In and around Stowe some of the other activities include sleigh rides, dog sledding, and snowshoeing. Also in the village there a bunch of neat shops that can be fun to look around. Oh and that pizza place mentioned earlier is really good I think it might be called Pie in the Sky.

For your toddler (and maybe your teen) you could try Vermont Teddy Bear Factory and store near Shelburne (just south of Burlington). They do factory tours, you can buy and build a bear, etc. Our then-11-month-old loved just looking at all the different bears in the store last March. It is a store, so the goal is to sell things, but it's pretty cute. We also happened upon a sugar shack on that trip, which was fun. Coming from Quebec, it was a much less elaborate but also much less commercial than the Cabanes a sucre that run here in the spring. They have a weekend of open houses at Vermont sugar shacks, but I think its the last weekend in March. Have fun.

We love Vermont. We used to visit once or twice a year until we switched our vacation routine to Florida.
I was just checking and unfortunately 2 of our favorites, Shelburne Museum and Shelburne Farms, are seasonal and closed until May.
Burlington's downtown marketplace has some nice shopping.
In Stowe, two of our dining favorites (along with Pie in the Sky pizza) are Gracie's and Sunset Grill & Tap Room.
Have fun.
