Vertical lines on hdtv?
I have a 46 inch Sharp Aquos 1080p hdtv. For some reason, regardless of what I am viewing (satellite, dvd, ps3...) I have faint and transparent vertical lines appearing on the hdtv from left to right on the screen. If you move up close to the television, they can be noticed blatantly, although when sitting down from a far they're not that noticeable. They are very annoying though...
What are the source of these lines, and how can I get rid of them?

it's most likely that the circuit board is about to go...had the same problem with my sharp. IMO its not worth getting it repaired if its out of warranty. The new board + labour will run you a 350-400 bux.

You might be experiencing "banding". Some Sharp Aquos sets have been plagued with this problem. I don't think you can ever get rid of banding. Go to YouTube.com and do a search for "sharp aquos banding" and you'll see a whole slew of videos from people who have documented this problem with their sets.
If you play a blu-ray or DVD that has a fairly neutral coloured backgroud, like gray for example, you'll see the banding problem much more prominently.
