Sounds like the connection software is corrupted. Try uninstalling the Connection Tray application and do a clean install.

Very peculiar problem with wireless card
Ok, so the last week or so, my wireless on my laptop has been acting funny.
It will work fine for a while, and then the wireless adapter will just freeze up. Internet will no longer work. I tried repairing, but it doesn't let me. I try disabling, doesn't let me. I try ipconfig, it will release, but it won't renew.
The only thing I can do to fix it is restart. After I hit restart, it tells me that the "Connections Tray" is not responding and then after I end it, it restarts and the wireless works again, until the same problem occurs at some random time.
I've tried updating the driver, rolling back the driver, everything. Nothing works!
Update: When it freezes up, if I go into the device manager and right-click and go to properties, it says "Adapter state not found in the registry"
Thanks
Oh right, it's an Intel 3945ABG card btw. It's a Dell, so I had to use the Dell drivers off their website to update the driver because the Intel one's wouldn't install. It's driver version 11.1.1.11 btw.Last edited by tmash; Aug 9th, 2007 at 04:05 PM.
