Isolate x in the second equation and write it in terms of y. Plug is value into the first equation and solve for y (you should get a quadratic equation). Solve this equation for y - you should get two y values.
Now plug that y into equation 2 and solve for x. Those are your points of intersection.

A very Very simple math problem
sorry for all of the question's but exams are coming up and i have to start getting organized anyway can plz post the entire soloution it is a grade 11 uni math class
determine the coordinates of the points of intersection of each line and conic
x^2+y^2=2
x-2y+3=0
have fun
what is a good graphing calc for the comp the power toy in microsoft i can't get it to plot circles and put two graphs on top of each other any help in any area will greatly be apprecaited thx in advance now i have to get to the rest of the problems

x^2 + y^2 = 2 and x - 2y + 3 = 0
x = 2y - 3,
(2y-3)^2 + y^2 = 2,
4y^2 -12y +9 + y^2 = 2,
5y^2 - 12y + 7 = 0, could use quadratic equation, but ...
(5y - 7)(y - 1) = 0,
where y - 1 = 0 or 5y - 7 = 0,
y = 1 y = 7/5
get x value ( sub y values into x = 2y - 3)
x = -1 x= -1/5
