Tomorrow I have the option of getting one of two video cards ( doing a trade ).
For the guys/gals here with superior computer knowledge, could you suggest which one of these two you get?
Asus V9900 128mb
http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1...63&modelmenu=1
http://ati.amd.com/products/radeon92...200/specs.html
( he says this card has the same connectors as the 9900 )
This card will be going into a P4's AGP slot. To be used by a 12 year old to play some games ( in particular, he's been trying to play the Halo Trial version right now )
Your advice is appreciated, as always!

Correct. The FX 5800 has roughly an 80% performance boost over the Radeon 9250.

2 things you need to pay attention to ...
- V9900 is a dual-slot video card. You may need to move the PCI card right beside the AGP slot (if any).
- V9900 requires external power from your powersupply.
