Looks like Mario Odyssey just got adjusted down from $99 to $80 at amazon and bestbuy. I guess they saw the interest rate hike yesterday too Smiling Face With Sunglasses

Plus, the Canadian Dollar has gone up in value, so that could have something to do with it...

Honestly, can't remember the last time I bought a new game outside of an $18 game that was on sale on PSN.

I guess it was a different case in the 90s and early-00s but there's so many games now and so many good consoles that I feel like you can get so many older games already out for an year or two+ for like $5-15 and be pretty happy with it. Whereas before, felt the need to get the newest one possible because the older games out just didn't have the same level of variety.

I do like the idea of the used economy as well but it's a shame that the Goodwills all shut down and that thrift stores in Canada for some reason carry much fewer video games (and it's mainly just PS2/XBox from what I noticed).

I only buy games at $40 or lower, and even then, i have a backlog. There's 0 reason to have a game on release day unless its a MMO or an online shooter (and even then, you can easily wait 3 months for a cheaper price).

That sucks, I have Games Club Unlocked at Best Buy in the states and it gives 20% off the bat off the price of the games. Certain games also have preorder credit of $10, like SMO..

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/clp/my-best ... 8100050002

So it'll be 59.99 -20% = 47+tax -10= $40 where I am for a game on launch day, (50 cad)
it's me ramin.

I was going to buy Persona 5 at Walmart the other day and realized it'll be $90 after tax. I gave up and went to McDonald's for ice cream instead. :(
