Video player box for chinese channels over internet?

I am looking for a simple to use box for my parents to watch chinese channels, like TVB and other cantonese tv over the internet. The box has to be simple to use, I suppose all they want is a power button and 2 buttons for channel+ and channel-.

I founds this http://www.lwstb.com

I can not read chinese, and I have no idea how easy it is to use.

Again this is not for me but for my old chinese parents.
I workout to get big so I can pickup bricks and ****.

seems to be a lot channels for $229US
seems to be plug and play, hmmm.
is it legit or legal?
it seems to require 2M+ internet connection, I wander how smooth it is.
TV must have HDMI input, this thing has only hdmi out.
also it uses BETV and PPTV as broadcaster, one should make certain that
one can access this sites before buying this thing.( I think Rogers might block these two sites, be forewarned.)

If you subscribe to ItalkBB for voip they have a box for an additional $10/month you can get lots of channels from China/HK/Taiwan.

I would cancel my cable subscription if Rogers doesn't block this site. Has anyone tried this yet?

im looking for one of these too.. but I heard lots of boxes are being cracked down by PPstream and turn useless.

i might as well run PPS on a netbook and connect it to the TV.

Got this box last week. Here some thoughts.

For cantonese (HK) live tv it is great. The menu layout is easy enough for my mom to navigate.

For cantonese (tvb) dramas it is so so. It picks up PPTV streams, so it has the latest dramas and the speed for them is great. Usually 300K+. But currently it lacks older dramas. Doesn't have anything before 2011, perhaps this may change in the future.

For cantonese movies it's not too good. Most of the cantonese movies (at least the ones I tried) are Mandarin dubbed. So if you can't understand mand, you are out of luck.

Overall it's worth it if you want to buy it for your parents to watch long live/new dramas without them bothering you.

P.S. - If you are Mandarin speaking, this box is a must for you...
