Videotron Cable-Subscribe To Internet, Split Cable=Get TV For Free?

Does anyone have experience with using a cable splitter with Videotron?

If I subscribe to Videotron Internet, and use a cable splitter, will I get television for "free"? If so, is there a way for them to detect me?

I have Videotron High Speed, and Illico now, but I can't afford the Illico anymore.

I live in a high rise.
