17GB. I got 750GB/month (corporate plan), technically unlimited if you ask me, and I barely even use 3G.

Aside from constant streaming video/music, I cannot imagine people hitting above the 5GB...

Curious what people do with their data...

How is this better if the infinite data plans you’re comparing this to offer the same amount of fixed data but no overage fees if you go above?

Because they are not the same amount of fixed data they are instead 10GB and over 10GB you drop to edge speeds. You ever try to open a website when your phone is on edge? Basically useless.

plus for $1 a month you can use that 17GB in the U.S.

This is a good deal. I think it also includes their free US coverage as well where you can use your minutes and data in the states for up to 90 days for no extra charge.
How can an ant carry twenty times its body weight, but root beer floats are still delicious?

Thanks, added the 1$ US option to my cellphone plan.
I to can't really grasp the 17GB plan unless you:
1) Stream daily all day or video.
2) Don't have internet at home.
3) Very frequently tether your device because you don't have access to wifi.

It's good for people who tether their phone to computer. You'd be surprised how much data gets used especially if people forget to set the connection as Metered Connection in Windows 10.

It's $1/month extra for US use, so not free but might as well be.
So useful to have if you do any travelling to the US. Not having to switch SIMs and going to buy "vacation plans" is great. Worked perfect when I was in the US for a few weeks last year.

Thats just wasting money

1) Buy a cheap plan that will do what you need for your normal day
2) Get a free sim from Raoming Sim
3) Create a fongo account and get a fongo number

When ready to go to the usa

1) Forward your Normal phone to Fongo Number
2) Put your Roaming sim in
3) Enjoy people can still call you at your normal number
