Looking at the Samsung UN55FH6030... is it actually 3D?

Found the same model at Walmart USA:

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Samsung-UN55F ... V/23347323

It doesn't say 3D in the title, but in the product features it claims full active 3D. So is that true, do you need to purchase active glasses, or is it actually passive 3D, or no 3D?

The controltalk version is on sale for 98$ as well, just ordered that one.
I got them as well! I also got the regular turbines from Best buy for $49.

Which do you guys think I should keep?

I ordered the coppers right when the site went live, now I see the control talk is on for the same price and ordered those, how good is visions when it comes to canceling? I want to cancel the non control talk.

Its 3D but its not a smart TV and most prefer the 6300 over the 6030. If you want a 3D, i recommend 6400 unless you're on a tight budget. Its basically 6300 with 3D where as 6030 is basically 6000 with 3D.

You got to call to cancel before they ship i think. If you bought it online, their website states you can return them to store but you'll be responsible for shipping back to their warehouse. Return for instore purchases used to be extremely easy but that was years ago and for instore purchase (before there was even an online site) so can't comment on now. Since its an item they carry, maybe they'll just allow you to directly return to store (if there is one near you). Otherwise you might be out shipping (considering its probably not going to be easy to cancel if they ship fast).

What you could have done is probably comment on your 2nd order to cancel the first one (with order #) and also call them.

If anyone is looking for a great full surround set of speakers and sub, the KEF package is pretty damn HOT.

If you're looking for something aesthetically pleasing to get that W.A.F - but also sounds great, this is your pick. Their cost back in June was around $980, meaning you're getting it for almost 50% less than the MSRP. I installed these at my mother's group home for their media room. It's pretty hard to find flat on-walls at this price point that actually sound fantastic.

Mids and Highs are great, and the lows are actually pretty decent. I wasn't able to run the sub line for a couple months and was just using the speakers for awhile - and was pretty impressed. The sub itself isn't a crazy performer, but adds just enough to fill in the lows were needed.

Honestly, the sub alone is worth almost $400, and the speakers run at around $150 each. as a package this is an awesome price. I only wish visions would price match after six months... lol. What do you think - maybe I could snag some store credit if I ask nicely?

I did a search for the whole forum but no one talks about any radar detector. I guess no one drives faster than the speed limit and no need for one.....
Planning to grab the Escort 9500ix for $428. Lots of good reviews in amazon.com. Many agree it's expensive but pays for itself comparing paying speeding tickets. The refurb 8500 at $198 is a good price. But considering it's a refurb and a note on Visions site that it does not support TSR anti-falsing (whatever it is), I will rather pay a bit more and not to worry something is not working.

Its legal to use radar detection only in parts of Canada (not Toronto) meaning most of RFD population wouldn't care. Also in Vancouver, its very predictable where police set-up so its not all that hard to avoid certain streets during certain time of day/month. Plus a very easy trick... just stay on the outside lane and let a car from the inside lane shadow you... :P

Yes, their site says that only Alberta, BC & Sask are allowed to use a RD. I also listen to News1130 for the traffic reports on and off to check for any police trap. Since I am on Hwy 1 everyday, I think it'll be a wise investment to get one in my case. As for left (outside?) vs right (inside?), it may not work depends on the street. One time they were hiding on Terminal just outside the GM dealership before Home Depot. Staying on the right lane actually could get caught. Same situation along Great Northern Way west bound.

FYI, as a radar detector owner, if they've got a trap set up, 9/10 times they will be using laser, at which point your radar detector turns into a ticket detector. (This is assuming you're speeding, but that would involve breaking the law and I don't think you would do something like that, right? ;) )

Im gonna line up at the store tomrw for the 1000W JBL mono amp, thats a smokin deal for one of the best amps made in recent years. Wow what a crazy price. Im gonna pair it with a 4ohm DVC alpine type R. Upgrading from a 400W kicker mono, so should be a huge upgrade.

Actually, I do have a RD in my car for the last 9 years. It's old and won't detect laser so don't know if the police here is using laser. But it does help me detect the trap a few times I am speeding or not. It's time to get a newer model that won't give me false alarm all the time.
