[Visions Electronics] Chromecast $30/ Chromecast Audio $30 / Ultra $70 with In Store Pick Up

Save additional $5 (Everywhere is $35, $75 this week) when order online and pick up in store. Most stores have them in stock.

From the other thread, you might be able to just drop by the store and get it for the same price or even less (tell the associate that there is extra $5 of if you order online) - YMMV

"SAVE $5.00
on this order if you choose Pickup in Store for shipping."

When checking out, it says 2015 version. Not sure if it is worth the extra 5 dollars.

Chromecast ultra is pretty great, it's easily the best way to watch HDR and 4K content from YouTube. Yes you say your TV / XBOX/ PS4 already supports youtube, but don't be fooled most of them do *NOT* support HDR playback properly.

Thanks OP, ordered 2015y model.
Previous device from 2013 stopped working after few years of use. For some time was using various casting apps that allowed to stream videos from android to my smart tv. PITA!
Btw, friend of mine is casting youtube to his new Visio TV directly without chromecast. My tv is from 2012, although "smart" but doesn't have that special feature yet.

Some tvs have built in cast capabilities. Cast is the more popular format.

Good deal, thanks op. Have all of the Chromecast products and I think the ultra is definitely worth the money. You get wired Ethernet and it’s a part of the adapter, so you only have to run the cord to your power bar, rather than one more wire to the back of your tv. It has a more powerful wifi receiver if you are doing wireless, and it streams 4K hdr no problem from Plex (wired). I originally had a lot of problems with Chromecast, especially casting from Spotify to chromecast audio and all of my problems went away when I replaced my router. So if you’re frustrated by the product, do a bit of reading because it really is supposed to work as advertised, but obviously there are a lot of opportunities for problems because of how many links there are in the chain of home network streaming. The last thing I will say is that the Chromecasts built into the 4K TVs today are not equal to the ultra. They’re fine for 4K Netflix, but if you want to stream full bitrate 4K videos, the ultra is the way you have to go.

Yes: https://support.google.com/chromecast/a ... 6?hl=en-CA

It comes with a 3.5mm stereo cable, but you can use a standard 3.5mm to stereo RCA cable or mini Toslink to Toslink cable: https://www.primecables.ca/p-312786-cab ... rimecables

Add it to your cart and "proceed to checkout." The discount will show up on the checkout screen.
