[Visions Electronics] IN STORE ONLY: Asus ROG Zephyrus 15.6" R7-4800HS / 16GB RAM / 1TB SSD / RTX2060 / (GA502IV-ES76) - $1,599

Saw this on the Vision site.
In store only and I have no idea how many they have in stock but it might be worth calling if you are looking for one and have a Vision store nearby.

Great price if you can get one.

No point in buying anything with next gen GPUs coming out, especially with the recent ampere leaks. The RTX2060 is gonna get destroyed by the new stuff.

Ampere is the new Nvidia GPU architecture.
Most likely won't be seen in laptops for about another 8 months to a year and by then there will be something better another 8 months to a year from then. And so on and so on.

It's the age old question, "Do I buy or do I wait for the new model?"

Every time there is a new console generation video cards always take a big leap forward to maintain the performance gap and sometimes there is even a price cut instead of price increase. Nvidia/AMD some how always magically finds cost cutting efficiencies and technology breakthroughs when a new console generation starts

You can swap out GPUs for iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, literally anything - this argument always sounds stupid.
